Process
Beginning the School Year 2017-18 ABPK has partnered with TADS for Admissions and Enrollment.
1. Admissions Form
Go to www.mytads.com/a/alephbetpreschoolandkindergarten Click on the bar to select the school year, click the button to begin application. If you do not already have a Tads account, you will need to create one.
After your admission is submitted for review, the directors will reach out to you with any questions or to schedule a school visit and testing. If you already took the tour, upon review of your admissions request, ABPK will determine if our school is a good match for your child and approve the admission to continue on to the enrollment stage.
2. School Visit
All families are invited to tour the school and talk informally with the admissions staff. Our Director will give you a tour of our facility and get to know your individual interests and expectations.
3. Testing
Preschool applicants will participate in a play date with other preschool children. Screenings last approximately 20 minutes. Testing is mandatory for all students entering nursery.
4. Review
This phase occurs after all parts of the application have been received and the student and family visits are completed. Families are kept up to date on the status of each application, especially if teacher recommendations or school records have not been received. For each applicant, the Director meets with the faculty members who observed the student. The completed application is then discussed with the Admissions Committee.
5. Notification - Enrollment
The last phase of the application process is notification and, if the student is accepted, issuance of an Enrollment Contract. The Enrollment Contract must be completed via Tads signed and submitted within ten days with non-refundable registration fees and a tuition deposit. The signed contract and deposit secure the applicant’s place at the Preschool. The deposit is credited as the final tuition installment. Please note that no application is considered until all parts of the application are received.
If you need assistance in completing the application, or for any other information, please call the office.
It is the policy of Aleph Bet Preschool and Kindergarten not to discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, or physical or mental disabilities unrelated to the ability to work or enjoy the benefits of the school’s programs, facilities, or services. Admission to the school is based upon each student’s academic records, personal interviews, observations by our faculty, parent essay questions, teacher recommendations and our admissions testing.
